A recently surfaced image of a retail box for the new MacBook Pro with the Apple M4 chip has sparked attention. The source that shared the image now claims that the laptop is already available for purchase, though exclusively through an unnamed private Facebook group.

Although Apple has not yet announced Mac Books featuring the M4 series of SoCs, a recent leak from Shrimp Apple Pro indicates that M4-powered laptops are already in circulation. The same source has now shared additional photos of a 14-inch MacBook Pro equipped with the Apple M4 chip.

According to Shrimp Apple Pro, the new MacBook Pro is already available for purchase, but only through an unnamed private Facebook group. In a series of images shared in an X post, one shows the front of the alleged M4-powered laptop. Based on this image, it appears that Apple has not made any design changes.

The picture reveals a design identical to the Space Gray 2023 MacBook Pro (base model currently priced at $1,299 on Amazon). Similar to the previous leak from Shrimp Apple Pro, the retail box confirms that the base configuration will offer 512 GB of storage paired with 16 GB of memory—an upgrade from the previous model, which only had 8 GB of unified memory in its base version.

ShrimpApplePro did not share additional details in the latest post, including the name of the private Facebook group where the MacBook Pro with the M4 chip is allegedly for sale. The price of the laptop also remains undisclosed.

In terms of timing, the leaks align with earlier reports from August, which suggested that MacBook Pros powered by the M4 series SoCs had entered mass production. Apple is rumored to hold a launch event later this month, where the new laptops and iPads are expected to be unveiled.
